Ballot Closes May 21: Cast Your Vote for Teratology Leadership & Constitution & Bylaws Amendments Incl. Proposed Name Change

The Teratology Society’s Nominations and Elections Committee has selected the candidates for this year’s election. This year we will be electing a Vice President-Elect, Treasurer, and Councilor. Each candidate has agreed to volunteer his or her time and energy to serve both the Society and its members.

In addition, this year there are several proposed amendments to the Society’s Constitution and Bylaws, including one which, if passed, would result in a new name for this Society.

The Society needs active member participation to stay vital. I am urging all voting members to take the time now or soon to review the materials and cast your vote!

The Teratology Society ballot is presented in electronic format. Please review the Candidate Summaries and Proposed Amendments to the Constitution and Bylaws and then complete your electronic ballot. All votes must be cast before 12:00 midnight EDT on May 21, 2019. I encourage you to do it now while it is on your mind. A good voter turnout will give us the best possible outcome and best represent the views of the membership.

Please note only voting members may access the ballot. Nonvoting members (Student Members and Associate Members) are welcome to review the materials but do not have access to the ballot.

Thank you to the Nominations and Elections Committee and Constitution and Bylaws Committee for their hard work in preparing this year’s ballot and supporting materials.

The Society values your input and active participation. The ballot results will be announced via email prior to the Teratology Society 59th Annual Meeting being held June 22-26, 2019 in San Diego, California.
