Working in a team environment, the Study Director will help in the design, oversight, data interpretation, and reporting of in vivo toxicology studies in support of preclinical research – both regulated and discovery/non-GLP.
Your daily responsibilities will include working as Principal Investigator/Senior Scientist oncontracts/studies. You will be expected to function independently to provide effective interaction and communication with customers, resolve team and customer concerns, provide scientific guidance, facilitate on-time and on-budget submission of contract deliverables, and prepare/review study protocols, amendments, and reports.
You will partner with Sales and Contracts to lead and participate in technical responses to quotes and RFP’s, support prospect/client meetings, and conference calls, and other marketing and business development activities related to growing the toxicology program at ILS.
We publish! You will be expected to prepare abstracts/manuscripts for publication in relevant scientific journals and attend and present at scientific meetings and conferences.
As a senior manager at ILS, you will participate in company strategic planning efforts, assist in
recruiting, selecting, interviewing, and hiring new staff, train and mentor current staff, and monitor changes in relevant scientific, regulatory, and technology trends in the industry.
B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in life sciences or related field with >10 years (B.S.), >7 years (M.S.), or >5 years (Ph.D.) experience in regulated toxicology in the contract research industry. Experience with DART studies preferred. DABT and GLP experience is essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills and have previous supervisory experience managing technical staff.
