Student testimonies of their experience as a Teratology Meeting Attendee

Attending the Annual Teratology Meeting has an important impact on my development as a scientists and also has given me several amazing awards for the work I have done and my participation in the meeting. The several travel awards that I have received have helped tremendously with expenses and allowed me to attend every meeting for the past four years. I am grateful to the Teratology Society for supporting my development as a young Teratologist.

Amongst all the conferences I have attended, the Annual TS Meeting is definetely the one I have always looked forward to every year. The meeting encompass a friendly environment with great opportunities to interact with TS members. The meeting also gives valuable opportunity for students to showcase their research and offers interesting education courses. Research topics range from basic biomedical inquiry to clinical studies, with researchers and students coming from various regions with diverse background. Such diversity allows an exposure to wealthy opportunities and engenders collaborative interactions amongst us. I would not hesitate to join thie big family !

I enjoy presenting my research at the teratology society meeting to an audience that I consider the leading experts in the field of birth defects. Presenting is a great experience and I always receive constructive feedback as well as some advice on my project from my peers.  As an added bonus, all presenters are eligible to receive a travel award, which help with expensive tremendously.
