Morning Sessions
At 8:00 am in the Aspen Ballroom, Jan M. Friedman will give the Robert L. Brent Lecture, titled In Bed with the Devil: Recognizing Human Teratogenic Exposures. This lecture is a joint session with OTIS.
The Public Affairs Symposium, a joint session with DNTS, will begin at 9:05 am in Aspen Ballroom. This year’s topic is The Toxicology of Tobacco Smoke and E-Cigarette Use during Pregnancy.
Global Burden of Disease: Mortality and Survival in Infants Born with Birth Defects Symposium will begin at 9:05 am in Colorado Ballroom B. This session will be held jointly with the National Birth Defects Prevention Network.
Coffee and pastries will be available for meeting attendees in Aspen Foyer at 7:30 am.
Afternoon/Evening Sessions
The Lunch and Learn Mini Course, Epidemiology: Basic Concepts, Study Designs, and Practical Applications, will begin at 12:30 pm in Mt. Columbia. Lunch will be provided. Separate registration is required.
The Agnish Fellowship Lecture, entitled Why and How We Must Be Lifelong Educators-Even if it’s Not in Our Job Titles, will be delivered by Elaine Z. Francis at 2:30 pm in Aspen Ballroom.
The Marijuana and Child Development Symposium will begin at 3:05 pm in Aspen Ballroom. This symposium will provide up-to-date information on the effects of marijuana use during pregnancy and during adolescence and include a presentation of policy issues and future directions. This is a joint session with DNTS and OTIS.
The Uses of CRISPR/Cas9 Technology Workshop will be held in Colorado Ballroom A at 3:05 pm. Attendees will learn about advances in next-generation genome editing with applications to the cure of human genetic disease and ethical implications of this new technology.
Poster Session 2 will begin at 5:30 pm in Capitol Peak Ballroom. A full list of posters presented during this session is available in the Annual Meeting Program on the Annual Meeting website. Exhibits will be attended during this time.
