James G. Publication Award Presented Sunday

The recipient of the James G. Publication Award will present on Sunday at 2:00 pm. This award is in recognition of the best paper accepted or published in the Teratology Society’s journal Birth Defects Research. The dual purpose of the award is to provide recognition to the authors of the selected paper and to encourage authors trained in various disciplines to submit high quality papers to Birth Defects Research (BDR). The presentation will be made by Susan M. Smith who is an author of the paper entitled “Calcium-Mediated Repression of β-Catenin and Its Transcriptional Signaling Mediates Neural Crest Cell Death in an Avian Model of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome”, which was published in BDR Part A.  This paper exemplifies the unique translational nature of Teratology Society science, bridging top notch basic science to the most pressing of clinical issues.

The Teratology Society recognizes and congratulates the nominees!
